To have a significant expansion and evolution in the current business model, and after a satisfactory experience in a similar expansion in Mexico, a large logistics center with the best technical specifications within Colombian industrial market was requested. The solution was urgently required to start operations in less than 1 year. Due to the size of the distribution center, the available supply in the market did not cover the client's needs neither their expected times for an effective response.Solution
Considering the available supply, a Distribution Center of these dimensions and specifications should be conceived as a BTS (Built To Suit). To satisfy this challenging request on time, with high specifications., CBRE has implemented an extensive strategic consulting process, through it was deeply analyzed and selected the best proponents, seeking long-lasting results.Our goal was always focusing on the best economic and contractual conditions, following up an implacable technical solution, for the present and future of our client’s business. This transaction was considered as one of the most important logistics Projects in 2019 in Colombia because it points out a milestone in Colombia’s E-commerce business model expansion. The benefits and savings obtained for our client exceeded 4 million dollars.
